Priscilla Bouvier Cwikla, 75, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed peacefully at Viera Hospital in Melbourne, Florida on July 17, 2021. She was in the presence of her loving family after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Priscilla was born in Manchester, NH on February 5, 1946 to her parents, Rolland and Adrienne Bouvier. Priscilla attended Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene at Northeastern University in Boston MA, where she met her husband, Joseph Cwikla, a graduate student at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. They continued dating while he served on the USS Forrestal CVS 59 during the Vietnam War as a lieutenant in the Naval Dental Corps. They were married on September 14, 1968. They moved to Buffalo, New York and Priscilla worked as a dental hygienist while Joseph finished his post graduate training in endodontics at the University of New York at Buffalo. Upon graduation, the couple moved to Windsor, Connecticut. In 1972, they started their family and decided to relocate to Indialantic, Florida. Upon their move to Florida, she managed the affairs of Joseph’s practice.

Priscilla was passionate about many organizations such as the Melbourne Junior Women’s Club, the Junior League of South Brevard, the Women’s Center in Melbourne and the Brevard Humane Society. As a member of the Junior Women’s Club, she co-chaired a fashion show fundraiser to benefit the Women’s Center. She enjoyed traveling and sharing meals with friends at the Eau Gallic Yacht Club. She had a deep love and compassion for animals and rescued many over the years.

Priscilla was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was dedicated to building a loving home and family. She cherished spending time with family and friends, and they loved being with her. She was a special person who brought a joy to every occasion. Priscilla was a wonderful host to visiting friends and relatives, always putting others first. She was a beautiful person inside and out and touched everyone with her kindness.

She is survived by her husband Dr. Joseph Cwikla, her daughter Deborah McKay (Michael), her son Dr. Stephen Cwikla (Roxanna), her grandchildren Hunter and Brooke McKay, her brother Donald R. Bouvier (Pauline) and many members of a loving extended family.

Priscilla was deeply loved and will be missed more than words can express.

Our family would like to extend the deepest gratitude for the love and support of dear family and friends, and in addition thank the caregivers, doctors and nurses who cared for her over the recent years. We were blessed to have Priscilla in our lives and she will live in our hearts forever. One less angel walks amongst us.
