Obituary of Dolores L. Chotta

Dolores (Dee) Bennett Chotta was born November 7, 1928 passed away Wednesday February 23, 2022 due to complications from a fall.  Dee is predeceased by her mother Helen Bukus Bennett and father Nick Bennett, sister Elaine Bennett Landfried, husband Thomas P Chotta, son Thomas E Chotta, daughter Kathy Chotta Gobao, and granddaughter Kristi Lynn Gobao.  She leaves behind a loving son Nicholas Chotta, daughter in-law Debbie Chotta, Grandchildren Ryan Gobao, Daniel Chotta, Brittany Chotta;  Great Grandsons Terrell Gobao, Nino Green, and Great-Great Grandaughter Aurora Gobao;  nephew and nieces Charles Scribner, Debbie Scribner, Christina Landfried.  And  great nieces and nephews.  

Dolores worked at Mary Lee's soda fountain in McKees Rocks PA and then at Gimbles department store in Pittsburgh until she got married.  She worked as a lunch time supervisor at Grant Street and Forest Grove Elementary schools for many years.  

She lived in Stowe Twp PA and Sheriden/Pittsburgh before marriage.  After marriage she lived in Mars, PA; & Kennedy Twp, Indialantic FL, and Melbourne Beach FL.  She loved fishing,  family, neighbors and friends.  She was an honorary mother and grandmother to many including her friend and caretaker Valerie Salerno.  Her warmth and kindness were known by all who met her.  She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Burial Service at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies where she will be interned in the grave site of her loving husband Tom.  Burial Service to be announced.
